Torch Literary Arts founder, and poet, Amanda Johnston, was recognized along with other community leaders, artists, and entrepreneurs in Austin, TX for her work in building a literary network of writers and allies in support of black women and girls. Join us as we continue to create new programs and opportunities in the greater central Texas area and beyond.

From the website: #IAMBLACKAUSTIN is an ongoing interactive campaign highlighting the multidimensional expression of Black life in Austin, Texas. The campaign integrates video, portraits, personal testimony and substantial social media to help stimulate visibility and engagement within Austin's growing community.
