Ebony Stewart is an award-winning poet, playwright, and performance artist known for her powerful work as an artivist and social justice activator. As the 2017 Woman of the World Poetry Slam Champion, she has performed internationally and authored acclaimed works like WASH, BloodFresh, and Home.Girl.Hood. She is the coach of the phenomenal 2x regional champs, SMOKE Slam. Stewart is also a mental health advocate and former educator.
Torch Literary Arts is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization established to publish and promote creative writing by Black women. We publish contemporary writing by experienced and emerging writers alike.
