New Website, New Publishing Model, New Programs, and More!
For over 15 years, Torch Literary Arts has provided a space for Black women writers to take risks in their work and grow their literary careers. We are excited to continue our work with you and relaunch TORCH in 2022! Our new website will feature Monthly and Friday features year-round and new programs beginning in the fall. Thanks to our partners and individual donors like you, all contributors will be paid for their work. TORCH LITERARY ARTS is a nonprofit organization established to publish and promote creative writing by Black women. We publish contemporary writing by experienced and emerging writers alike. TORCH has featured work by Colleen J. McElroy, Tayari Jones, Sharon Bridgforth, Crystal Wilkinson, Patricia Smith, Elizabeth Alexander, Natasha Trethewey, and others.
